Contest Rules

  • There’s no set theme, so let your creativity run wild.
  • Your video must be at least 1 minute and 30 seconds long.
  • All videos must be made exclusively for this contest.
  • Accepted formats: AVI, MP4, MKV, MPEG, MPEG2, WMV.
  • AMVs, GMVs, and M@Ds are allowed.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • The maximum file size is 500MB, with a bitrate limit of 30mb/s.
  • The video must not contain logos, subtitles, intros, or outros (unless it’s part of your edit’s concept).
  • Videos must primarily feature animation.
Video game footage is allowed, and mixed media (like 3D and drawings)
can be included. Any entry that raises questions will be reviewed to
determine if it qualifies as an AMV.

This contest is 100% anonymous. This means no intro, no outro, and no trace of who made the video.
Judges won’t know who created which video, and you won’t know who the
judges are either. Any video that reveals its creator’s identity will be
disqualified.

Multiple Submissions Allowed

Each participant can submit up to five AMVs or MEPs (multi-editor projects). Just make sure they’re exclusive to this contest.

Important Rules on Anonymity

Videos must remain unpublished until after the contest ends to maintain anonymity. AMV-France will handle the release of all submissions on the official website.

Submission Guidelines

  • Videos must be submitted via FTP. Login details will be emailed to confirmed participants.
  • Your video file name should follow this format: The_Title.mp4 (or the appropriate file extension like .mkv, .avi, etc.).
  • Submission deadline: November 30, 2025.

Additional Information

Videos will be released in batches of 2 to 3 clips per day on a dedicated channel, once enough submissions have been received. After the contest, the top 5 videos will be posted (with credits) on the AMV-France YouTube channel.

A jury of three people will judge the entries. The contest organizer will upload the videos, but they won’t participate as a contestant or a judge. Additionally, the public will have a chance to vote on the audience award via the AMV-France website.

THE INVESTIGATION

This year again, viewers can participate even more actively in the contest! At the end of each day’s broadcast, members registered on the AMV-France website can fill out a form guessing which participants created each video.

The form must be submitted within 3 days of the final broadcast. When the results are announced, a scoreboard will reveal the scores of those who participated in this guessing game, ranking them based on the number of correct guesses. The winner(s) will receive a certificate in the form of an exclusive poster.
